Fall Events in Northern New Jersey

Fall is in full swing here in the Garden State, and here at Dentex Smile Studio, we’re extremely excited about all the fun events and activities coming up! As cooler weather moves in, all of our fall faves are popping up - cozy sweaters, pumpkin spice everything, leaves changing color, and bonfires with friends just to name a few. If you’re our neighbor here in Northern New Jersey and want to celebrate this fall season to the fullest, check out some of our favorite autumn events happening locally.

Pumpkin Illumination

One of the best local events that we never miss is the Pumpkin Illumination in Morristown. This free, family-friendly event will be held on October 26th this year starting at 5 p.m. at the Vail Mansion Plaza, and we honestly cannot wait! With live music, a luminary parade, arts and crafts, a storytelling session, and a jaw-dropping pumpkin display, it’s no wonder that the Pumpkin Illumination event has been going strong for 15 years. Don’t forget to register online and bring your own carved pumpkins to display (they’ll provide the lights).

Pumpkin Patches & Apple Picking

If you’re the type that searches high and low for the perfect carving pumpkins each year, then a stroll through our local area pumpkin patches is right up your alley! Several farms in the area feature acres of multicolor gourds ripe for the picking, with other fun activities packed in like hayrides, corn mazes, pumpkin carving and painting, haunted trails, and even pumpkin pancake breakfasts.   Another fall favorite here in northern NJ is apple picking. This area is ideal for growing multiple apple varieties, including Cameo, Granny Smith, Ida Red, Crimson Topaz, Autumn Gala, Shizuka, Lady, Golden Delicious, Fortune, Mutsu, Cortland, Empire, Fuji, Jonagold, Crimson Crisp, Macoun, and more!    Make fall pumpkin and apple picking a tradition for your family (or just yourself) at one of these local farms:
